Road to Fiddler Crab Festival

Fiddler Crab Festival is where the Living the Hatch Life™ story really clicked.

Years ago, a 50th-birthday fishing trip with my son accidentally landed us in Steinhatchee during festival weekend. We thought we were stopping to fish. Instead the town was a madhouse in the best way: games, a chowder competition, vendors, a huge parade, Shriners from all over Florida, classic cars, monster trucks, and the kind of community chaos that makes you want to come back every year.

The 19th Annual Fiddler Crab Festival

  • When: Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14, 2027
  • Where: Steinhatchee, Florida
  • Who runs it: the festival is organized locally in Steinhatchee. It is not ours. The official schedule, parade details, and vendor rules come from the festival's own announcements.

What we are aiming for

That weekend is the first real-world target for Living the Hatch Life™ — shirts, hats, stickers, decals, and the beginnings of the mascot crew.

We are going after vendor space for the festival. Nothing is confirmed. Vendor requests are reviewed in the fall, and spaces fill up with returning vendors, so we are treating a booth as a goal rather than a promise.

If we get one, this page becomes the place to find it: booth location, what we are bringing, and when. If we do not, the first drop still lands that same weekend and we will be walking the festival like everyone else.

Living the Hatch Life™ is an independent brand. Fiddler Crab Festival and the local places named across this site are referenced as personal memories and gratitude, not as sponsorships, endorsements, or official affiliations. For official festival information, follow the festival's own announcements.
